Hello! I've been using NetBSD 11.0 with a Ryzen Pro 2400G APU.
I'm currently using llvmpipe and the system is rock stable and works fine for my project needs. However, I'm wondering if it's possible to enable hardware drm support for either my Ryzen APU or my WX3200 (not currently installed). Has anyone had any success with these? So far I've tried with the Ryzen 2400G APU menu=Boot with amdgpu:rndseed /var/db/entropy-file;load drmkms_sched;load amdgpu;boot I'll get occasional kernel panics, in which case I simply reboot and try again until success. First of all, is there a solution to the random kernel panic (feels like a race condition)? AFAIK I'm using the system defaults for X, except with the following xinitrc: ~/.xinitrc ---------------------------------------------- if [ -f ~/.Xresources ]; then xrdb -merge ~/.Xresources fi exec i3 ---------------------------------------------- X becomes unstable the moment I move a window, eventually crashing entirely. I read online that installing the pkgsrc modular X11 can help. Any recommendations are welcome!
