Attention profiler geeks! 1359 is determined to be a JDK issue, fixed in JDK12-ea (and will be backported to JDK11). But I'm still seeing the problem. Does anyone else have time to test NetBeans self-profiling under JDK12 and see if they get the same result? There's a repro case in the issue report.
