So you need to add a check that identifies AIX and then triggers the
building of your new driver code.
p.s. I guess I was expecting it to be building 'itself' and an argument
to 'it' would create the config files/commands to create config files
for a specified target - rather than the assembly was done in './configure'
Is there a template - or better - a list of the 'read' functions that
need a new 'write' or 'configure' procedure?
