A little while ago, I queried this ML about problems subscribing to some free ISP's that I wanted as a backup. One of them was free-online. Since then, through trial & error, I have managed to get it up & running. However, it's still giving me problems, and I was wondering if there is anyone else on this ML using free-online that is experiencing the following problem. You log in ok. You start browsing or collecting e-mail & news items, but then inexplicably, it just stops. Just gives up mid page or message. Any attempt to access any new website, results in a message saying that that web site doesn't exist, or words to that effect. Any requests for downloading of e-mail or news meets with no reply. It's as if the line has been dropped, but the modem is still connected. This happens without fail at random intervals of between a few seconds & about 30 minuets. I thought I'd try you lot first before I have to contact their 50p/min "PC snobs" helpline. So if you could please let me know, one way or the other, so I have something to work with.
