Hi,
I have been having some problems when trying to install the Netconnect
service packs and hope that someone can help. First off all I have not
had any experience of archiving programs so I have not altered the
X-arc (v 1.1) settings at all.
Basically, what happens is when the download is complete an X-arc
window opens within which another appears saying "checking archive
format". This is immediately replaced by a requester saying "couldn't
resident all the commands" - ok. After clicking on ok, the cycle
repeats 3 times then a window appears saying "creating archive tree".
The program then hangs and accepts no input of any kind, the only way
out is to reboot.
I have saved the downloads to a separate partition in the meantime and
they are listed as LHARC files of the correct size. When I try to open
them offline exactly the same thing occurs except that when the
program hangs, after about 15 secs it crashes. (guru 80000003) a CPU
trap, dead end alert acording to my guru program. This is a persistant
problem, exactly the same thing happens every time.
Any ideas?, Hopefully it's just something I'm doing wrong.
