Hi all,
I am having problems when quitting Microdot 2, Voyager, Genesis and
the Netconnect Dock. The problem is rather intermittant, but most
of the time when I quit the above apps I get "Recoverable Alert"
"Error: A10000F.. ". The problem only seems to occur when
Genesis is being run and the same time as the others (Voyager & MD2).
I have tried disabling everything in the wbstartup drawer, and all
patches started through the startup-sequence and user-startup all
having no effect on eliminating the problem. I don't remember having
the problem when using Nc2.2. As a test I re-installed NC2.0 from CD,
and also reinstalled the MUI 3.8 using the standard installer. I
didn't have any problems with Netconnect 2.0, 2.1 or 2.2. So after
installing 2.0 > 2.1 > 2.2 > 2.3 I replaced the mcc's in my
MUI/libs/mui/ drawer (that were installed from the nc2.3.lha archive
by the installer) with the ones that were found in the 2.2 archive. I
rebooted, but still the same problem occured. And oddly sometimes when
starting Voyager for the first time after a boot-up, MUI opens a
screen, but only part of the voayger window shows; namely the close
gadget, sliders and the std amiga gadgets on the far top right hand
side of the screen.
This is starting to get annoying especially when I quit Md2 , while
amftp is downloading a file, and md2 crashes the machine. After
workbench manages to recover from the recoverable guru, the screen
starts to get corrupted and eventually the machine crashes, or a reset
is needed. I'm using the Super72 screenmode (800x600), have an
A1200/030/50+50mhz fpu 32mb fastram, 3.2 quantum hd (recently
installed within the last 2-3 months, I was thinking that it could
possibly be the MaxTransfer value)).
Can anyone recommend what steps to take to try and track down this
problem?
I using MD1.2 because the MD1.3 archive doesn't seem to be on the
active web site atm.

Cheers,
Matthew Sampson
