It is probubly a new model than what I have. The problem with the
serial ports on some older hypercom1 and 3Z cards may actually be
caused by a differnt revision of the I/O chip used. This problem has
been identified by VMC and a minor rework to fix the problem should be
posted to their support site when available.

Yes, try using "prt42_50.lha" from Aminet it works of the 3Z's
parallel port here. All of my printing is done using this via the
3Z's parallel port. I don't have to redirect to the printer port
here.

My one program that would'nt work this way is "PageStream 2.2" this
could be re-directed to "PAR0" however which was setup using
"porthandler" which is included with the latest driver releases from
VMC.

A full commercial product that offers the same facilities as "prt42"
is "Turboprint". It offers more features for enchancing print quality
as well.

As you have a working 3Z can you tell me what the ID number is on the
square I/O chip?

Additionally what revision drivers are you using?
