Hi all, Maybe other people have experienced this: You are surfing the net or whatever and your computer crashes, or there is some other reason you have to reset the machine. The modem has *not* dropped the line. Rather than manually switch off the modem then redial, I set up an additional account in Genesis to cover this. Once you've rebooted, select this other account and press connect. This account is configured exactly as normal, except you remove "Dial" from the login script, so mine only reads "GoOnline". This worked fine with Freeserve. I now have an account with UKOnline, and I tried to do the same thing but it doesn't work. I even tried defining a new modem which has null strings for the "initialisation", "dial prefix" etc settings, and it made no difference. All that happens is the window comes up saying its trying to "Establish Network Connection" (just like it does when it works for the Freeserve one) and after a few seconds the modem drops the line (local or remote, I can't tell.) Does anyone know why this does not work for UKOnline?
