Some time ago I had the same problem, and found that I had wrongly set
the hours in the prefs:
I had set for example a span of tme like 18.30-08.00, while the
correct way was to make two intervals, 18.30-23.59 and 00.00-08.00
As for the other question, I guess you'll have to type the same data 7
times ;-(
