Hi,
I thought you would be interested to hear that NetConnect 3 will ship with
dual-compatible versions of the software. ie. when Voyager 3, AmIRC 3 (etc)
are updated in the future, a NetConnect user will be able to download the
normal Vapor version and use this on their system :)
The bonuses (to the user) are:
1) You can have the latest versions of all the software, including the beta
versions, as soon as they are made available.
2) The software will support the Vapor Update library, so you will
automatically detect if the software had been updated and have the ability
to download the software directly from the Vapor Update download window!
3) You can download from any local Vapor FTP server.
Obviously this starts from NetConnect 3, so don't go downloading them just
yet. But this is a big bonus and should offer an additional reason to
upgrade to NetConnect 3 :)
One thing I did want to point out is that this doesn't apply to the
'non-Vapor' software on NetConnect 3. Well, so far this accounts to
WebVision though, so no great loss ;)
