I've upgraded Netconnect 2.3 to 3 and suffered similar problems to everyone
else.
For the record MDot 1.4 appears to be working fine though I have not tested
every facet of the programme.
[Addendum: Cleanup data base can still be v slow but it does reach completition
without first tidying up all the newsgroups. But when emptying 10,000 headers
from the trash it crashed.]
Greatest disappointment is the complete failure of V� with my setup.I have
download V� pre4 main prog and vssl__84 (plugins I believe) and installed over
V� but it still won't bootup. It crashes into a violet screen and I
cannot even produce a Snoopdos log to see what's going on.
To my surprise I've found that if I click on a web link in an email a V� screen
does actually open. But in the URL location it only shows %s and an error
message - V network and file server. Programme failure 80000004, suspend or
reboot.
Contact Manager appears to be working but my install attempt to copy over my old
MD and Voyager addresses have failed and the files now show 0 bytes.
>From reading earlier messages I've moved Octopus from the centre of the screen
but it still won't show to MUI controls and I cannot fix the position of the
tool bar.
That's it so far.
