You should have a serial code consisting of several groups of 4 
characters, each separated by a hyphen (-) or space.
Each group should be entered in each space above (AFAIK, I 
haven't got my copy here to check :( ).

This looks like the old-style serial code?

You don't need it, it's only there as a separator - to show 
where you need to move to the next string entry space.
