Martin Etheridge had this to say:

Most of the images appear to be JPEGs.  It loads them via datatpyes.
So you could try making sure your datatypes are installed ok.  Also,
maybe they are progressive-jpegs which not all datatypes handle - the
akJFIF one does, so you might try that.
