I have it set up, but I set it up with something I downloaded off aminet
as opposed to the ftp server supplied with NetConnect 2 or 3. Also, I have
a partition given over to "Ftp" as it were, which makes it even easier to
control what people can and cannot access.

If you get (I think) mlftpd_14.lha off aminet, and install that, then you
just need a couple of files setting up to control what people can access.
In fact, in theory it should work okay with the ftpd that is supplied
anyway! Here's what I have installed with it ...

amitcp:db/banner

Welcome to redvers' Amiga!

amitcp:db/ftpdir

dh5:
dh5:uploads W ; this means that people can upload to this dir

You can also have a .welcome file in the directory people are allowed to
access if you like. You need a user set up in genesis for ftp access (I
have one called "ftp" with no password) and you also need to allow ftp
access in the database/access bit.

Finally, in database/inetd you need to add an ftp service which uses the
ftpd server - mine has the following arguments "-x -b30 -l -t300 -G -W"
(read the docs to find out what this all means :)

Hope this helps!
