[netconnect] abel connection

Hiyall,
    Has anyone managed to connect to abelgratis reliably?
I connected up using nc3, and it all worked fine.
but roughly 1 out of 3 connections,it dies when confirming
the ip address(as close as I can tell from debug,as genesis
crashes and takes the OS with it- black screen error
8000003).
Unfortunately, this problem appeared AFTER I moved my email
etc:(
