Hello list,
I recently got my NC3 cd, and of course started playing with it. Of course,
I downloaded V from vapors site first, after recent postings to this list.
But some other thing is bugging me: when I use MetalWeb to create
html-files, all is well if I create my file in one go, or keep the text
below 10 Kb. If however the filesize grows bigger than 10 Kb, and I save
it, and try and reload it after I took a break, MetalWeb always(!) crashes
when trying to load the file. Most of the time it just freezes, in other
words, it locks all input to my Amiga, and I have to reboot the machine. Is
anyone else having those problems? With a total of 130 Mb fast RAM still
free and 1.8 Mb chip RAM still being free, I can't imagine this being a
memory related problem. I tried from both a clean OS3.1 and a clean OS3.5
installation, both with the same results. The MUI classes I use are either
the ones from the NC3 cd or newer versions.
I'm back to using GoldEd again for creating HTML, because this is far more
reliable on my system. Of course it's also a lot faster, but that's the
difference between a texteditor and a WYSIWYG editor I guess.
Dirk
