My guess:
You use a time server when you log on.
The time was corrected by the server to a time earlier than displayed
on the Amiga before you connected (possibly even by a couple of secs).
It appears that the call logger counts forward (wrapping around after
around 136 years or whatever the figure is for 2^32secs) then starts again
from 01/01/78 to reach the new time set.
