Some comments about AteoBus system, from my experience:
Yes, it's a pretty nice system when set up in your tower (you'll need
to fit it DIY style if you have a tower other than Ateo's own,
though), and it's certainly a cost-effective way to get a graphics
card for your A1200 now that PPC/Bvision cards are very hard to come
by.
However, two things to remember. One, you'll need a monitor switcher
as well as your scandoubler unless you have two monitors - you'll need
to see the AGA output sometimes when setting things up, believe me.
Secondly, I'd have to disagree that V3 would be "really cool" in
1024x768 in 16bit colour. The pixel64 is not really a fast enough
card to sustain that resolution comfortably at that colour depth. It
will display it, but it is a slow mode, especially for scrolling in
browsers, and more importantly, the max refresh rate in that mode is
about 61Hz, noticeably too flickery for comfortable everyday use.
However, it is much nippier in 8bit colour (but poor for web
browsing), or very nice in 800x600 in 16bit, which is what I use it in
for most things. And, I believe, faster than a Z4 busboard and a
zorro 2 graphics card of some sort.

Hope my rambling is of some use ;-)
