I see you have Netconnect 3. There is an FTP daemon which needs to be
enabled.
Look in the database section in Genesis prefs.
Choose Inetd from the cycle gadget at the top.
Click on ftp in the large window.
Check the "Enabled" box below the window.
Create or modify the following text files in the Databases drawer.
"ftpaccess"
You should have a template for this. It allows or denies access to
directories, e.g. "denydir SYS:" or "allowdir WORK:"
"ftpdir"
This contains a line directing another machine to a particular drawer
when it connects to your machine. E.g. "WORK:drawer/"
"ftpusers"
This is a list of users allowed access :^) It will list you as "root"
as well as other users. Password protected protected users need to be
set up in the "passwd" file.
Most of this is based on an article by Darren Irvine in AF95 (March
1997). You may also be interested to know that there is an Amiga
networking newsgroup at comp-sys-amiga-networking.
