I couldn't get the Contact Manager V1.7 update to work at all, with
problems that sound very like these. For me, the problem was that CM
seems to get confused at where the database is stored if you've
installed an update.
Try this: Delete ENV:Vapor/CManager__path and
ENVARC:Vapor/CManager__path.
Then make sure you've set your dock-icon launcher to load whatever the
latest updated version is.
Run it, go to menu "settings->contact manager", switch on "save on
exit" and quit out. After that, it worked perfectly from inside MD2
and loaded directly from the dock-bar.
Try it. Hope that helps,
