Whenever a query window is being logged (might be the same with
channel windows, haven't tried), if you end up crashing, the log
hasn't written in everything that had appeared in the query window
until the point of the crash. I'd expect that if it was keeping some
stuff in cache, maybe to write to the log whenever it has 5 lines to
write or something, then the log would end in the middle of the line.
As it is, you (or I, at least) get:

[23:12:59] <Samy> Man, AmIRC is a kick-ass clie

and it ends in the middle of the line.

How come? Will this be fixed so that the program writes an entire
event to the logfile whenever the event appears in the window?

Also, while I'm at it, why does AmIRC take a lot longer to list
channels than Grapevine. Grapevine scrolls you a list of all matching
channels almost without delay at all, as if getting from a local cache
or something. AmIRC takes a long time to display the matches. Is this
because AmIRC waits until it's loaded the entire channel list, then
filters out those channels who don't match, while Grapevine somehow
only loads those channels that match, as opposed to the entire channel
list? It's a damn lot faster, and I'd prefer the Grapevine approach
myself, even if it results in an unsorted list. If AmIRC is determined
to keep the slower approach, how about a progress indicator in the
channel list window indicating how much of the channel list has been
loaded? Like mIRC which displays on the titlebar of the channel list
window '1170/1170 channels shown' or something, counting up until it
gets to the full number.

Otherwise, AmIRC is a rather kick-ass program. Definitely my favorite
in Netconnect, and the stablest one, too. Oh. Except AmTelnet. Damn,
that thing has some stability. :)
