Until MD gets a "Mark as read" function, something that's been
mentioned before. I've found the best way is to sort by flags (click
on the flags title) to bring all the unread messages to the top, then
select all the messages either by left clicking and dragging the mouse
or by selecting the first message, then going down and
pressing Ctrl whilst selecting the last message, this will also
highlight all the messages. I then click on read. I tend to do
batches of 75-100 as some large mails can cause MD to crash while
doing this. Although it appears as though it's opening lots of
windows, when the last mail is read you'll find you only have the one
message window to close.
