  I presume this question is aimed at 'Derek', as my machine is stable.

  It may sound a bit daft, but, one way to stop this kind of thing is, cover the
machine after use, give it some insolation over night, move your tower away from
any cold walls or damp drafts. Like any machine, large temperature shifts can
loosen chips and boards.
