I made my feelings known publically, so the apology is public.
Since I appear to have upset so many people, I would like to firstly
apologise for increasing the mail into your inbox (including this
email!)
With all the flames, now I know how a Big Mac feels; However, I
do still believe that I have made a number of valid points, and
making them publically was the only way of getting you to respond.
*the apology!*
I do not apologise for _what_ I have said, but I conceed that there is
justification to aologise for the _way_ it has been said.
Chris, I have had only _one_ criticism of you; that you disappeared so
quickly, without even making a public statement to that affect,
leaving some (including me) without any help at all (thanks to all
the other users who DID know). If you had done that, I would, for one,
have no criticism of you leaving the market whatsoever- it is your
right.
Prior to that, I had the upmost respect for you and what you
have achieved; You will unlikely remember, but when I bought NC2,
STFax and Pace 56k from you, you did give excellent service (remember:
dodgy-12v screwing serial port?) I am sorry that it has come to such a
situation as this. If when people emailed or phoned, you replied with
a standard 'I am no longer operating Active...' would anyone have had
any ctiticism? I know I wouldn't have.
Since you have now, almost, stated your position with Active/Vapor, I
no longer have any grievance against you personally; I wouldn't go as
far as to say I am happy, but I do wish you success for your future.
BTW: Well observed about the header displaying "Microdot-II".
Whilst, as I said, am using Yam for most emails; I have NO DOUBT, that
the NC progs. ARE the best on the market (As I have said before).
Regards,
Derek
