Amiga mailers aren't the only ones prone to this problem.

Back in the days I used to have to use Windows at work (all praise to
the new job) I used to get forwards periodically of mails with
attachments for processing. These wouldn't be recognised as MIME or
UUencoded attachments as they were quoted when forwarded. Not
guaranteed this is the problem, but it's possible.

I used to save them out and decode them using an external program -
can't recall what it was, but a search of some popular shareware sites
should yield something (look for keywords like MIME and UUencode
UUdecode). I'm afraid I can't be more helpful as it was a Windows app
and I don't use Windows at work any more. Someone else on the list
might be able to suggest starting points.
