Hi Stephen W. and Ian G. You were both right. The problem lay with Contact Manager. I just typed my name into the Contact Manager heading and thereafter the Address Book became stable. I have checked the documentation again and while there is a reference( 3.52) to Contact Manager in the MD2 Address Book doc. it lacks clarity. As Amiga Format wrote the documentation on an otherwise elegant program is pretty naff. But then perhaps as a pensioned off pedant I'm just being pedantic.
