Hello,
I wonder if anyone else has the following problem with newsgroups.
1) Sometimes the response to a message turns up before the original message
(sometimes 24 hours after!)
2) In a thread, sometimes I see the responses from one person, but not
another person. (As they quote the other persons post, I can still follow
the posts, but it is kind of strange.)
3) Sometimes, when someone posts a series of posts, I don't get them all.
4) Often, messages are only held on the server for a couple of hours, making
it impossible to get them all (unless you're lucky enough to live
in the US, where you have free local calls and can stay online 24/7.)
I guess my news server is a bit crap. Is it possible to select a different
news server anywhere in the Microdot preferences (I have looked!), or am I
at the whim of my Internet Provider?
