Hi,

Folks, here are some updates from me about the line dropouts.

JAVA has been considdered a cause of the dropouts.

That is 99% true.

But I have been using Voyager today with the JAVA DISABLED.

I had 4 line drops still.

What I did notice:
1) The pages have lots of cookies.
2) There are lots of piccies.

What caused the last drop out.

I was loading the page ( http://www.top219.org/cgi-bin/go.cgi?midi&46 ) and
there was a nice back drop. As it was loading I got heaps of cookies.

(Just to check, the backdrop is a blue back drop with waves allover it.)

I finally turned the cookies off. REJECT permanant. (allow temp)

The page was longer than the screen and after the loading, the first
screen's worth of graphics were corrupted.

I would scroll down and back up. No difference.

I clicked on the reload and <click> Line dropped out.

Machine locked up and I had to reset.

To clarify these lockups I have.

What happens on my machine. I have a CV_PPC and PPC233 card. 130 MEG of
memory. OS 3.1

The CV output is turned off. Monitor shows loss of input.
machine reboots. I give it the 3 fingered salute too - just to make sure.

So what ALSO could be causing the problem is the image decoders. Dunno.

I don't remember getting this many dropouts with 3.0 MAYBE there is a flaw
with 3.1, but I would say that it is more to do with the plugin's, etc.

No offence.
