I had this problem, and found that in the Contact Manager Prefs,
setting the option "Save on Changes" as well as or instead of "Save on
Exit" fixed this.

I haven't seen this - I have the TextInput module, which is what I
presume you are talking about, but the only option I can see in that
vein is the external editor button, for using GoldED or whatever
instead of the inbuilt editor. Could you expand a bit? Where did
"texteditor" come from? Is it an add-on .mcc, or an option within
another module?
