I believe it IS possible with Windoze but I can't help you much except to
say I believe the easiest way is to set up a dialup networking connection
to "dial" your Amiga, and configure Genesis to ignore the modem commands
sent. Then if you're using the PC to dial up you'll need the non-free
software Wingate (www.wingate.com) to allow your Amiga to access the
outside world.

By far the best way is to install Linux on the PC; it's all free and IP
forwarding/masquerading (that's what you want - the system by which
packets from one computer not connected directly to the net are forwarded
through a second computer using the second computer's IP address) are all
part of the kernel. And setting up PPP over a serial line is much
easier. Plus Linux kicks the ass of Windoze. Now if you need help with
*this* then just ask because I've got a fairly complex system just like
that set up here - Amiga connected to the PC with a null modem cable,
connecting to the PC using Genesis and then appropriate stuff set up on
the PC so that I get full net access from both computers (and from several
other computers on the network!). Works absolutely brilliantly.

BTW asking on the Genesis list rather than the Netconnect one might be
more productive.

Tim
