Thew tolerance was there at the start. People were *asked* not to make
off-topic posts. When the cat says to you, "I know I shouldn't shit on
the floor, but I'm going to do it anyway" and does it in exactly the
same place each day, tolerance begins to evaporate. You can only
explain common sense and manners so mant ways.

I don't believe I am either of those.

A support list should always welcome and help learners, but learners in
the field that the list covers. By permitting off-topic posts, the
effectiveness of the list as a support medium is diluted. This was
noticeable with AFB and the number of people that have left because the
crap-to-sense ration got too high. It's not a big deal there, but if
this list becomes less useful as a support channel for NetConnect users,
where should they go?

Tolerance for all, especially those that subscribe to this list for its
real purpose. Of course, I don't expect you to place much importance on
the words of an "egostistical computer buff" who puts many hours into a
magazine that is not "a decent magazine worth it's salt".

Having slagged off both me and my work, can I ask you what *you* have
contributed during your "20 plus years as an Amigan" except possibly
time travel, the Amiga was launched fifteen years ago.
