After a rather long time without a modem, I'm finally back online.
Unfortunately my new modem won't work through my Silver Surfer and I
haven't a clue why. My last modem went wrong and wouldn't work through the
Silver Surfer or the standard serial port, I can get this one to work
through the standard serial port but not the Silver Surfer. My only
thought is that whatever knackered my last modem (a power surge?) also has
damaged my Silver Surfer. Has anyone got any ideas of the problem and
better still how to solve it.
