ROTFL. No one bastardised HTML more than Netscape. Remember <CENTER> and
<BLINK>? They should also win an award for inventing table and then
releasing a browser with the worst table handling in the known universe.
Even worse than IBrowse.

The standards weren't Sun's. This is JavaScript, not Java. There was
some collaboration between Netscape and Sun when LiveScript was morphed
into JavaScript, but that was basically because Netscape were trying to
ride the Java hype bandwagon.

Nope, many of them came from Netscape. Both of them employ dodgy
business practices, but MS have been more successful at pushing theirs.
MS are good at being bad, whereas Netscape turned out to be bad at being
bad.
