That's actually incorrect. I have  NC3 and was using BTinternet, if
you get a msg saying error option secret unknown (or something like
that) all you have to do is fire up genesis.prefs gotto your interface
settings, select the sana tab, there is a radio button that has the
options ppp/slip/specify sana-II device, You want to specify the
sana-II device then simply edit the line secret__secret "%p" to secret
"%p" 
or more simply you can download the n.c2.1 (?) from active-net and use
that ppp.device ;0)
