Hi,

I was reading in Amiga Active a kind of talk through of how to do it, but it
had back references to previous issues and I don't have them. :-(

I can kind of understand what is going on with the walk-through of Samba,
but I am confused with a couple of things.

Where I am entering the IP nubers, the amiga is 192.168.0.2 Now before I
have connected the other machine I wanted to test some things.

The Smaba setup for instance.

The artical says I type http://amiga:901 and I get the page.

Alas it just sits there and doesn't load. (Yes I have genesis loaded)

If however I put http://localhost:901 or the IP number, it does load.

So my guess is that the TCP stack doesn't know who 192.168.0.2 is.

Where is the Amiga told to answer calls to that IP number?

Another thing is that for now, I will have to RS232 network the two
machines. :-( No network card just yet.

Can anyone help me please?

Cya!
