Yes, this is a bit of a cross posting, but it kind of covers both worlds.

I now and then use AMIRC for chatting.   After all it is a good program.

I had been in a few chats and was about to disconnect.   I opened genesis'
GUI and found that I had an attempted access from someone to my machine.

Ok, MAYBE I am being a bit paranoid, but I think that sometimes you must say
things so others can learn from it too, before they get REALLY hurt.

I think it is from BT (from line 16) but am not sure if it is a real person
or a robot.

Either way, it is a bit scarey when you go to disconnect and find things
like that showing in the list.
