Hi, Well now I have this little "net" working, I have discovered a problem: FTP'ing needs a password. I forget which server I am using, but it is one of the popular ones. There is a db/ftpuseres file and from what I have found this is a list of people who are NOT allowed to use the machine. Why? Well if I put the login name in this list and then try to ftp in, I am denied acees straight away. Otherwise I am asked for a password. Now this is the odd thing: In genisis, that user doesn't have a password, and if I just press enter at the question, I am refused connection. If I set up a password for that user, and enter it when I ftp in, it lets me in. So I am confused to who is insisting on the user having a password, and how to make it so the user doesn't need one. Thanks. Cya! -- Janet Reno is "Big Sister!" Andrew Bruno [EMAIL PROTECTED] _____________________________________________________________ NetConnect mailing list.
