Before this patch:

After this patch:

$ modinfo drivers/net/ethernet/qualcomm/emac/qcom-emac.ko | grep alias
alias:          platform:qcom-emac
alias:          of:N*T*Cqcom,fsm9900-emacC*
alias:          of:N*T*Cqcom,fsm9900-emac
