Hello,

somehow in our latest Netdisco 2 version 2.023002 we have noticed that
searching nodes using the DNS does not work very good. For example when I
search for 'string' I get nothing. But if I got and resolve that "string"
manually into "IP" and search for "IP" I get a node with
- MAC info
- IP -> MAC mapping (with DNS name "string" in brackets)
- switchport

It does not happen with every dns name, but definitely I can replicate it
with a given dns name any time.

Regards,
Pavel Skovajsa

Hello,

I have a feature suggestion - we have tons of devices in netdisco and our
macsuck runs about once a day, so it often happens we have to do manual
macsucks using the GUI.

My suggestion would be to give priority to all per device jobs initiated by
GUI. That would help us to quickly see results without resorting to command
line.

Thanks a lot for this wonderful tool,
Pavel Skovajsa

Thanks for the bug report.

This was a regression when we added in the NetBIOS features recently. I'm very sorry about that.

I've just released version 2.024001 to CPAN which should fix the problem. It might take a little time to appear on the file mirrors, but metacpan.org usually shows the file quickly if you want to manually install (specify the URL instead of the module name to cpanm and it will download).

regards,
oliver.

Hello Everybody,
I have two netdisco servers. One server, netdisco11 is running netdisco v1.1 and the new server netdiso132 is running netdisco 1.3.2. How do I migrate the database from my netdisco11 to netdisco132 server? I looked on the website but I only see directions for 1.0 to 1.1 or 1.0 to 1.2 on the blog. Thanks for all your help!
