Hi Tobias Gerlach,

You need to make a change is snmpd configuration of GAIA system. As it is
configured as non L3 device by default, Netdisco is skipping ARPNIP on device.

You need to edit "/etc/snmp/userDefinedSettings.conf" and add one line at the
end of the file:

sysservices 76

and restart snmpd service ("service snmpd restart"). then try to poll the
device in nedisco.

Note: DO NOT EDIT FILE "/etc/snmp/snmpd.conf"

Hope this will solve the issue.

Regards,
T9En

The release is public, here: https://metacpan.org/pod/App::Netdisco

We support and actively develop ND2, so please go ahead and install it.

However ND2 is not yet the "official" version on netdisco.org. We still have a
small number of items to finish off, before that.

I hope that answers the question?

oliver.

Hello T9En,

thanks a lot!! With that line in the snmpd config file, ND2 polls the
ARP cache fine again! :)

Hello I am running Netdisco 2 with centos 6.5 and I have experienced a
similar issue when trying to discover juniper switches:

discover: status error: error running job:
DBIx::Class::Storage::DBI::_dbh_execute_for_fetch(): execute_for_fetch()
aborted with 'ERROR: duplicate key value violates unique constraint
"device_vlan_pkey"' at populate slice:
{
  description => "default",
  ip => "10.0.192.131",
  last_discover => \"now()",
  vlan => 0
} at /home/netdisco/perl5/lib/perl5/App/Netdisco/Core/Discover.pm line 457

The cisco ones seem to work ok.

Hello list,

for the following Avaya ERS 48xx models I've no entrys ("No matching
records") in the modules plugin:

-- ERS 48xx Series
sreg-ERS-48xx OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { registration 78 }
sreg-ERS-4826GTS-PWR-PLUS  OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { sreg-ERS-48xx 1 }
sreg-ERS-4850GTS-PWR-PLUS  OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { sreg-ERS-48xx 2 }
sreg-ERS-4826GTS           OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { sreg-ERS-48xx 3 }
sreg-ERS-4850GTS           OBJECT IDENTIFIER ::= { sreg-ERS-48xx 4 }

I'm using the latest ND2 and SNMP::Info version. All other Avaya ERS
and Passports working fine, except the ERS 48xx models.
The SW version of the switch should not be the problem. I see this
issue in 5.7.0.009 and 5.6.1.053 as well.
Any ideas?

Hi Tobias,

If you also set INFO_TRACE=1 environment variable when running netdisco-do, you should see the SNMP::Info module making (or attempting) each SNMP method on the device. It might show what is failing.

regards,
oliver.
