Hi Richard
We might have got our wires crossed in this thread.
I suggest you run the upgrade process as in the online docs to get the latest
version. After following those steps your installation should be up and running
again.
Regards
Oliver.

Ran the upgrade, got new complaints about crontab fields in the logs.
Turns out the whitespace formatting for the schedules (which I hadn’t
changed) in deployment.yml was off. Pretty damned picky for a config file.
Thanks for the help. It appears to be working now. We’ll see once the
scheduler either does/doesn’t kick off.

Hi,
thanks oliver. That helped a lot!
Now my script is working and die ARP Entrys are pasted by my script.
I also adding the DNS-Entrys with this function but the names are not
shown in the webinterface.
...
my $name=hostname_from_ip($ip);
store_arp({ ip => $ip,node => $mac, name=> $name});
print "Added $ip:$mac $name\n";
...
Any idea?
best regards,
benjamin

This is because the Netdisco environment isn't set up. If you:
use App::Netdisco;
use App::Netdisco::Core::Arpnip 'store_arp';
It should work.

My bad, sorry. The "mac" key in the hash should be "node".

oliver.

Hi,
That's good news, thanks for letting us know.

Yes, the key should be "dns" instead of "name".
regards,
oliver.

this was because the modul refers to
/home/netdisco/perl5/lib/perl5/auto/share/dist/App-Netdisco/environments/deployment.yml
This is because the Netdisco environment isn't set up. If you:
use App::Netdisco;
use App::Netdisco::Core::Arpnip 'store_arp';
It should work.
2.
after running:
App::Netdisco::Core::Arpnip::store_arp({ ip => '192.168.0.1',mac =>
'00:1a:a0:9a:f9:86'});
=>
Ix::Class::ResultSet::_build_unique_cond(): NULL/undef values
supplied for requested unique constraint 'primary'
Did I forget something?
My bad, sorry. The "mac" key in the hash should be "node".
regards,
oliver.
best regards,
benjamin e.

I guess, I have to write a Script with the help of store_arp( $mac,
$ip, $name, $now? ) or is there any solution?
That's correct. We don't have any other way, right now.
Also note! that the docs are out of date :(
The store_arp sub now takes a hashref, like this:
store_arp({ ip => '1.2.3.4', mac => '00:11:22:33:44:55' }, $now?);
The dns key is optional; add it to the Hash if you have it.
regards,
oliver.
