Hi Oliver,

sorry for my late answer. Unfortunately my mail delivery was disabled ....
Now I saw your answer in the webinterface:

Indeed I confused with the expire_nodes options.
Now I corrected it and I'm sure it will work as requested :)

As next step I'll upgrade to version 2 of course.

Thanks a lot for your prompt support
Gerhard

Hi all,

Apologies if this is covered somewhere else, a few searches didn't seem find
anything...

We have instances where we have a (cisco) phone connected to a port and then a
PC via that phone. So the port configuration has a switchport access vlan and
a voice vlan. Netdisco appears to only show the data vlan when you look at a
switch port vlan membership. Is there a known way to get it to show the voice
vlan in addition under VLAN membership? It does mention the vlan if connected
nodes is selected, you see a phone symbol, its MAC/IP address and in brackets
'on vlan xxx' where xxx is the voice vlan.

Cheers,
Emma

I don't do phones, but if the port is configured as a regular trunk on the
switch end, it should show all vlans that belong to that link. Is there
some kind of special setup on the port at the switch side that might be
getting missed?

Sorry, not much help.

In the cisco world, the port is configured as an access port, and voice
rides it as a tagged frame.

So probably the first place to start would be to see how SNMP handles it
with a walk or bulkwalk I guess. Either the extra vlan is in the SNMP data
or not, and at that point you have a path to follow.
