Hi
The current release isn't picking this up from my 16-port Cisco 4500-X. The
processor board id seems to be present at OID 47.1.1.1.1.11.500 under the MIB-2
MIB (entPhysicalSerialNum.500). Would you expect it to be seeing this? Has
anyone else got this problem with this model of switch?
Regards
Max

We have 2 boxes running 03.04.03.SG, and Processor board ID is showing up as
the Serial Number in Netdisco 2 for each.
Thanks,
Joseph B.

Hi Joseph
Thanks. Interesting. Looks like it's software release dependent. I have a VSS
pair running 3.06.00E where the serial numbers only show up on the module
listing (which shows both chassis) and a single unit running 3.07.01E, where
the number shows up on the Details page as well. Looks like the VSS pair might
benefit from an upgrade!
Regards
Max
