--- Begin Message --- Hi all,

Has anyone had trouble with missing hostnames for Netdisco V2 when there were present in Netdisco V1? We're finding that some nodes seem to have lost this information after upgrading.

Steven

Hi Guys,

i ve got a Netdisco installation on Ubunutu:

App::Netdisco :           2.033003
DB Schema:              v40
Dancer:                       1.3202
Bootstrap:                  2.3.1
PostgreSQL:              PostgreSQL 9.3.10 on x86_64-unknown-linux-gnu,
compiled by gcc (Ubuntu 4.8.2-19ubuntu1) 4.8.2, 64-bit. DBI 1.63, DBD::Pg 2.19.3
SNMP::Info:              3.29
Perl:                           5.018002

And a couple of HP Pro Courve switches:

Hp 2810-48G
Hp 2824
Hp 2910al-48G
Hp 4204vl
Hp 5308XL
Hp 5406zl
Hp 5412zl

On none of these switches is Layer 3 active, so I get “Skipped arpnip for
device XXXX without OSI layer 3 capability” everytime on evry switch I try. Is
there any way to solve this?

Kind Regards
Kjell

--- Begin Message --- They are layer2 switches (L2), so there isn't a arp table to grab. The arp table will have to come from what ever device is doing your L3 routing on your network.

We have some Brocade ICX 7250 and ICX 7450 switches that work with Netdisco,
but their models appear for example as registration.61.2.2.1.3 instead of
something like ICX7450-48P. Is that something I can fix or something I need to
put in a ticket somewhere? These are new switches to the Brocade product line.

Thanks,
Joseph B.
