Hi Muris,

I have a install of Netdisco 2, however when i want to view the ports

Sorry to hear that it doesn't work, even with the VLAN/etc options off. :-(

To see where the failure is happening, we need to run the web server in debug+log mode and capture the output. If you have a "busy" netdisco (many users), you can start a second web server to do this, running on a different port.

deployment.yml
--------------
log: debug
show_errors: true

command-line
------------
DBIC_TRACE=1 ~/bin/localenv plackup -p 5001 bin/netdisco-web-fg

(this runs the server on port 5001, so visit hostname:5001 in the browser)

It will output logs to the console. You could use tee to capture it. I would paste the output into a ticket in github rather than using this mail list: https://github.com/netdisco/netdisco/issues/new

Many thanks,
Oliver.

Even if i
untick the bare minimum on the menu on the right to display, it still
doesnt show anything and comes up saying "Search failed! Please
contact your site administrator."

How can i get it to display ports on these large chassis ? It works on
Netdisco 1, however Netdisco 1 doesnt display Cisco port channels
properly or devices connected, so I am using 2 for this. I have both
versions running concurrently on different boxes.

Any help would be appreciated. Thankyou

Muris

I tried updating NetDisco on my CentOS 6 (just upgraded from 6.8 to 6.9), but I get a failure with Net::SSLeay:

Hi Nikolas,

This should fix it:

# yum install openssl-devel

I will update docs to add this new dependency. Sorry about that.

(p.s. for debian/ubuntu people: apt-get install libssl-dev)

regards,
oliver.
