Are the patches you submitted still in live tickets? My search-fu must
be failing me, as I don't see them here:

The internet-hosted assets is an interesting one. I'm surprised we're
using any... perhaps a mistake to fix!
The postgres prewarming has been mentioned before, perhaps by you? I'd
be happy including a note in the Deployment tips page if you write it
(or I'll give git access if you have an account). Same goes for the
swappiness setting (with caveats).

2. Making internet-hosted static assets local to the server
3. Prewarm the postgres caches every 5 minutes (pg_prewarm function)
4. Turning the linux VM swappiness down to 1
I have submitted patches for the first 3, and the fourth is easy to do
and made a HUGE difference. The server would be a crapshoot after not
having been used for a few hours, sometimes taking 10 seconds plus to
respond. With swappiness turned down to 1 it is almost instant every
time.
Hope this makes some people's lives easier!
