Hi All

I came across some MS mibs, not a lot, but some. I want to commit it to
the git repo, but I am not sure if I will be violating some sort of law.
Could someone please shed some light whether such a thing is allowed or
not? I just want to help the community out, but don't want to get into
trouble.

Regards

Hans

Hi Sanjeev.
I found them on a blog post on the internet. So it wasn't provided to me by
someone from MS and I am not trying distribute them without their
knowledge. These files are also a bit old, but seeing as Netdisco doesn't
have any, I thought it may help. But I won't if it means contravening any
sort of legislation.

Regards
Hans

The situation around the licensing and usage of MIBs is unclear at best.

What we usually ask is that customers of products pass on the MIBs. At least then they have a legitimate relationship with the vendor. Obviously there are some enlightened vendors who do release MIBs publicly from their own website.

Hope that helps,

Oliver.

OK, so then the answer should be no. Not gonna use it. Sorry guys, but the
water is a bit murky on this subject.
