   1. Re: Detect device as Checkpoint (Michael Butash)
--- Begin Message ---
I used ND2 with a customer a few months ago having issues with their highly
virtualized network, and had a heck of a time dealing with their CP41k's
(and presumably same with a 65k too). They required contextualizing their
snmp v3 requests after asking their diamond support engineer, per 3
different virtual firewalls, which ND2 didn't deal with well when talking
to the same IP for many virtual devices/contexts. I got it to discover
partially, but only one context at a time, which then just confused it as
it wouldn't poll the same ip with 3 different contexts to each vs in the
cp41k.

Might work better than ssh-collector if only looking at a single context or
non-blade chassis, but was needing work to be useful. I don't think it got
the lldp neighbors either way to get a enough topology to be useful, so it
needed some refactoring all together I'd say for the blade gaia chassis'.

I didn't even think to try using the ssh collector there instead, by that
point I just cursed the unit, spit in its general direction, and discovered
around it, otherwise fixing things the CP was broken over that weren't
related to the neighboring networks.
