Hi Tim,
Currently there is no support for command-line (ssh) actions for port
up/down. The only command-line action we support is gathering of ARP tables.
This could be patched into Netdisco, but would need someone who understands
Perl very well. We have a framework for adding ssh/cli commands, but it has
never been used before for a realtime task like this, so it would be a real
experiment!
Alternatively, you might like to look at the Netmiko library (python), and
script this yourself.
regards,
oliver.

Hi Tim
I don't think Netdisco will be able to tell the difference between a port
that's 'configured' or one that is not (yet) configured. So the only thing
to go on is the up/down status. I'd welcome suggestions/corrections on how
to achieve that, though!
To your second question, we don't currently gather the ISIS cost for an
interface, but it's something which could be added here if you know the
SNMP table:
https://github.com/netdisco/netdisco/blob/master/lib/App/Netdisco/Worker/Plugin/Discover/PortProperties.pm
We'd also add a column to the device_port_properties table at the same
time. Reporting it in the user interface would require additional work (and
might be challenged as clutter, unless we get a lot of thumbs-up on the
ticket).
Please open a ticket with the SNMP table name, if you think you'd like
this: https://github.com/netdisco/netdisco/issues/new
(realistically it'll need someone with time to write the patch, so I'm not
sure when it might happen)
Hope this all helps!
regards,
oliver.
