Have you tried examining a raw snmpwalk to see if you're getting
proper/expected arp table info back from the device? Sadly firewalls are
always a problem for netdisco, as a security device, often no one in
product development seems to think proper snmp support as a network device
is necessary. This is why there is ssh support for arp population for pix,
pan, and probably needed for your sophos box too.
I've complained to cisco about this in pix/asa since cisco bought them turn
of the century - still not fixed.

as mb said, certain devices don't have their arp<->ip mappings in the expected
oids.
first question would be:
* what device type is your sophos firewall discoverd as? (in the web interface,
it's found in the "device details" tab as "snmp class")
second question would be:
* could you provide us with output of "netdisco-do arpnip -DI -d
XXipaddressXX"? keep in mind this might contain sensitive information.
(at first glance we don't have specific support for sophos devices in
snmp::info or netdisco, but we need the "snmp class" to be certain).
